AAMAS-08 Instructions for Accepted Papers

Copyright Form

The IFAAMAS copyright form must be signed and returned with your paper. I caution you that IFAAMAS will not publish any paper that is not accompanied by a SIGNED copyright form. For jointly authored papers, only the principal coauthor needs to sign. IFAAMAS will assume that the signing coauthor does so with the authorization of the remaining coauthors.

Please fax a SIGNED copyright form to:

Formatting

Accepted papers must be formatted as described for the initial submission for publication. Page limits are 8 pages for full papers, and 4 pages limit on short papers. Short papers have to be designated by the subtitle “(Short Paper)” and with a corresponding note in the copyright slug – see also initial submission page. We provide updated style files for LaTex users. Title and author list of the submission appear in the copyright info and thus must be given in the .tex file: Use this style file for long papers and this for short papers and see this example file and the comments therein for explaining the changes. Users of Word or other text processing software should use the following style files/templates also with copyright strip and fill in their title and author information: word template for long paper, word template for short paper, style description for long papers, for short papers. Please, also note that we need formatting for American letter paper size and take care of an appropriate formatting of the bibliography. Your submission must be without page numbers.

Mandatory Sections

The mandatory sections of the ACM styles are also mandatory for AAMAS 2008 papers as the papers will be available via the ACM digital library. According to ACM: “these index terms effect the ease and accuracy of retrieval within the Digital Library which ultimately benefits authors by allowing for greater distribution of their work”. Thus, although it may not be trivial to find the appropriate classification information, you should make an effort filling these sections:

Categories & Subject Descriptors.
Click here for the ACM Computing Classification Scheme.

General Terms:

This section is limited to the following 16 terms: Algorithms, Management, Measurement, Documentation, Performance, Design, Economics, Reliability, Experimentation, Security, Human Factors, Standardization, Languages, Theory, Legal Aspects, Verification.

This section is your choice of terms you would like to be indexed by.
