Taipei International Convention Center (TICC)

AAMAS 2011 will be held at the Taipei International Convention Center (TICC) in Taipei, Taiwan.  This six-level convention center is located on the grounds of the Taipei World Trade Center. With a seating capacity of 3,100, the ICC can accommodate both small-scale meetings and large-scale conventions. There are 21 conference rooms and a large banquet hall, which seats up to 1,000. The conventions held here range from cosmetic conventions to educational fairs to business conferences. The TICC has up-to-date audiovisual equipment to supplement any meeting or convention.

Transportation to TICC

Airport Express Bus
Provider: Air Bus – East Line
Price: NT$145
Frequency: 20~30 Minutes
Duration: 70 Minutes

Taxi
Major cities have an abundance of taxis. Charges are NT$70 for the first 1.25 km and NT$5 for each additional 250 meters. An additional NT$5 is charged for every two minutes of waiting, and a 20% surcharge is added to fares between 11 p.m. and 6 a.m..

15% additional to meter charge needed for cab travel to Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport. It costs around NT$1,200 to travel from Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport to Taipei City, and NT$300 for traveling between Kaohsiung City and Kaohsiung Airport. Island wide travel service is available in fixed fares upon passengers' needs.

Most drivers do not speak English, so it is a good idea to have hotel personnel write both your destination and your hotel's name and address in Chinese, along with the projected cost of each one-way trip.

MRT

  • Take Metro Banqiao Nangang Line (Blue Line) to Taipei City Hall Station.
  • Exit via exit No. 2: take Keelung Rd., then join onto Songgao Rd., and turn right to Shihfu Rd., the join on to Hsin-yi Rd. and TICC Main Entrance.

Or you may take Taipei 101 Free Shuttle Buses, operated by Capital Bus Co. Ltd., run every 20 minutes on weekdays from City Hall MRT Station, Exit 2, to Taipei 101, which is only 5-minute walk from the conference venue.
