Accommodation & Airport Transport
Please note: Delegates are expected to make their hotel bookings
directly with the hotels. Block hotel bookings start to be released
from May 13th, so please book early to be sure of the hotel of your
choice.
There are frequent and cheap buses that travel between Melbourne Airport and the city center (ask for the "SkyBus" at the aiport). If you mention your hotel name to the driver, the bus might drop you right at the door. More information about the SkyBus can be found here.
All rates below are in Australian Dollars. As of 24-March-2003, the exchange rate was approximately US$1 = AU$1.6849.
For more up-to-date currency forecasts, you can refer to Yahoo Finance.
We recommend staying at the Softitel, which is the conference hotel -
technical sessions will be held here, and you will get the best
opportunity to meet with colleagues and friends. Details as follows.

If you would like to book a room at the Sofitel please do so very

facilities (leading to better quality tea breaks :-) ). If you do
book at the Sofitel by phone, please be sure to mention you are with
AAMAS. If you book via the internet, please mention this in the text
box and also email
linpa@cs.rmit.edu.au letting us know your booking
details (name and dates is fine) so we can ensure that it gets
counted.

Delegates may of course choose other accommodation options. The
